Yesterday morning, Pinterest announced that it now has an online analytics tool to help businesses track what’s being shared from their sites. Any Pinterest Business account has access to the analytics page, as long as they have a verified website listed on their profile page.
The new analytics tool will allow you to track how many people are pinning from your website, viewing your pins, and clicking through to your content. Like most analytics tools, you can also select specific timeframes to see how your data trends over time. It tracks pins, repins, impressions, and clicks, and will give you new insight into what your website’s visitors are really interested in.
Once you’ve accessed your analytics you can drill down into the different categories to see exactly what people pinned, who originally pinned it, and what other content was pinned by users who shared your content. You can also download your analytics into a .csv file and parse them any which way til Sunday if you so choose.
Will the introduction of analytics and more meaningful measurement make you use Pinterest more than you currently do? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
